From the first bite of their perfectly toasted sandwich rolls to the last crumb of a velvety dessert, Babette Bakery offers more than food—it delivers moments of warmth and joy, making it a must-visit culinary haven in Long Beach.
I'm only go here for the sandwich rolls, however, their sandwiches are awesome they make great pork milanesa sandwiches which are absolutely to die for. They have an awesome array of desserts as well as breakfast on lunch items. Make sure to take cash because transactions under $10 or cash only. When I make sandwiches at home this is the only French bread in Long Beach that tastes acceptable and amazingly delicious.
I was a first time customer this morning. Excellent covid protocol, nice display cabinets and a good selection of bread and pastries. The staff was kind and welcoming. We just had the sliced sourdough loaf for lunch and it was awesome. The Australians would call this bakery 'good value', which means the quality for the price you pay is soooooo worth while. Now I know why there was a line to enter. My new ''go to" bakery!!! It was fun riding my bike with baguettes sticking out of my backpack, ...reminiscing about France.
I came here a while ago and liked it, but did not go back after. When a guest brought me a delicious Mango Mouse Cake I was wondering why… The base of the Mango Mouse Cake is of juicy, soft sponge cake featuring a crunchy, caramelized surrounding. The mouse is very light and no too sweet, having just the right amount of mango taste. The goodness is topped with a juicy peach and strawberry. So yummy that my new year’s resolution is to come back more often.
Came here today on a whim to get some treats for my fiancés birthday. I was not disappointed!!! They have such a wide array of items, dishes, and breads. The cakes I got were the bread pudding, tres leches, mango custard (?), and cheesecake. All were excellent!!! And very fair prices, too. All 4 cakes came out to $15.
The Bbq chicken sandwich hit the spot. Theres a few sandwich options you can order from along with soups. This place carries so many pastries. From other reviews and customers I came across, macaroons are their #1 seller. I'll be coming back to try a few pastries. The service girls were great. They were patient and knowledgeable of everything they had in stock. Theres a few tables inside the restaurant were you can sit and enjoy your food. Forgot to mention this is a an empty shopping center. The center looks abandoned. It's right next to smart and final.
Small place with a decent menu and assortment of pastries. Fairly priced, easy lot parking, and maybe 8 or so tables for 4. Still need to go back to try other things. Order in the middle. Small fruit tart was good as was the chicken salad. Under $8 total, picked out the raisins from the salad because raisins are just gross. Come give them a visit.
This is a hidden gem in Long beach. The bread is very fresh and will harden fast, which means it has no additives. The croissant and the pain au chocolat are buttery and flacky and took me back to Paris. They also serve breakfast items such as quiches and have a nice seating area for about 20-25 person. Definitely a place to try
